Who can take part

  • You are 50 years of age or older.
  • You have severe aortic stenosis (a narrowed heart valve) and your heart team agrees a tissue valve is a good option for you.
  • You've had a CT scan that shows your aortic valve is bicuspid (two flaps instead of three) and the scan is available for review.
  • You have not had a heart procedure or stroke in the last 30 to 90 days, depending on the type.
  • You do not have serious health problems like severe kidney disease, very low blood counts, or severe lung disease.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
