Who can take part

  • You are 50 years or older.
  • You have severe aortic stenosis, meaning your heart valve is very narrow and doesn't open well (confirmed by tests like echocardiogram).
  • You have been diagnosed with Type-0 bicuspid aortic valve (a specific two-leaflet valve structure) by a special CT scan.
  • You are willing to have the valve replacement procedure and come back for all follow-up visits.
  • You have adequate blood vessels in your leg to allow the valve to be inserted through a catheter.
  • You do not have major medical issues that would make the procedure unsafe, such as severe artery disease, need for open heart surgery, or a very weak heart pump.
