Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must be a healthy adult.
  • If you are a woman, you must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You cannot have had a blood clot in your main abdominal vein.
  • You cannot have had a heart attack or stroke in the last 3 months.
  • You cannot have certain conditions like heart failure, diabetes, or kidney disease.
  • You cannot have had abdominal surgery in the last 3 months.
  • You cannot be taking certain blood pressure or water pill medications.
  • You cannot have had significant fluid loss (like from vomiting or diarrhea) in the last 3 days.
