Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned cesarean (not an emergency) and will be awake with a spinal or epidural.
  • You are at least 35 weeks pregnant (not premature).
  • You are carrying only one baby (not twins or more).
  • You do not have high blood pressure, blood vessel disease, or severe obesity (BMI 40 or higher).
  • You can give consent in English or French.
