- A child or teen between 7 and 15 years old
- Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes within the past month
- Being treated at the New Children's Hospital or Jorvi Hospital in Helsinki
- No other serious health conditions like Addison's disease, kidney failure, or untreated celiac or thyroid disease
- No active skin problems where the insulin sensor would go
- Not taking part in other drug or device studies
