Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with memory or thinking problems caused by a stroke.
  • You are between 35 and 80 years old.
  • You can communicate in Mandarin and have a caregiver who is dependable.
  • Your thinking test scores are in a mild to moderate range (like a score of 12-24 on one test and below 24 on another).
  • You do not have any serious long-term illnesses like heart failure, liver or kidney disease, or active skin issues that would prevent acupuncture.
  • You are willing to have MRIs and are not claustrophobic or have metal implants that make MRI unsafe.
