This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) can help improve thinking and memory problems that occur after a stroke. If you've had a stroke in the past year and are experiencing cognitive difficulties, this trial may help restore some of your mental abilities.

Who can take part

  • Had a first-time stroke confirmed by CT or MRI scan between 1–12 months ago
  • Experiencing cognitive impairment (memory, thinking, or concentration problems) with a specific test score below a cutoff
  • Age 35–75 years old
  • No severe difficulty with speech, vision, or hearing that would prevent you from completing the study
  • Stable vital signs and no worsening neurological symptoms
  • If taking memory-boosting medications, must be on a stable dose for at least 3 weeks
