Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have enlarged lymph nodes in the middle of your chest (mediastinum or hilar area) that are at least 10 mm wide on a CT scan.
- Your doctor has decided that you need an EBUS-TBNA (a procedure where a thin needle is passed through a scope into your mouth to take a sample from those lymph nodes).
- You do not have a bleeding disorder, a recent heart attack, unstable angina, severe airway blockage, unstable blood pressure, or breathing failure that requires oxygen.
- You are not allergic to the numbing medicines or sedatives used during the procedure, and you are able to give your written consent.
