Who can take part
- You are 20 years or older.
- Your heart stopped outside the hospital and you need CPR in the emergency room.
- The cardiac arrest was not caused by an injury or certain conditions like major bleeding, aortic emergencies, tension pneumothorax, cardiac tamponade, or a pulmonary embolism.
- You are not pregnant.
- You do not have a signed 'Do Not Resuscitate' order.
- You do not require special procedures like ECPR or REBOA, and you can have TEE or a femoral arterial catheter placed.
