Who can take part

  • You are between 21 and 80 years old.
  • You have had chronic tinnitus (ear ringing) for a while, with a severity of at least 1 out of 10 on a scale measuring sound, distress, or quality of life.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You have no metal implants, cardiac pacemaker, or other implanted devices that are not safe for MRI.
  • You do not have epilepsy with repeated seizures, major depression, or a history of psychotic disorders.
  • You do not have uncontrolled medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or unstable angina, and your life expectancy is more than 1 year.
