Who can take part
- You are 18 to 100 years old.
- You are willing to have your parathyroid surgery at the NIH Clinical Center.
- You have been diagnosed with primary hyperparathyroidism (sporadic or inherited), or parathyroid cancer, or are suspected to have it.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are not allergic to the 18F-Fluorocholine tracer used in the scan.
- If you could become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control for at least two weeks before the scan until after surgery.
