- You are 18 years old or older
- Your weight has stayed fairly steady (changed less than 5%) in the last 3 months, and your BMI is 28 or higher
- You are willing to follow the study plan and come to follow-up visits
- You agree to sign a consent form saying you understand the study
- You do not have serious health problems like heart, liver, lung, kidney, brain, or mental health conditions
- Your obesity is not caused by another condition (like hormone problems) or by medicines you take for something else
