Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have played a string instrument (like violin or viola) for at least 5 years.
- You practice your instrument more than 6 hours each week.
- If you have neck pain: the pain has lasted at least 2 weeks, is in the back of your neck or upper back, and is at least a 3 on a 0–10 pain scale.
- If you are a healthy volunteer: you have not had any neck or shoulder pain in the past year.
- You have never had neck or shoulder surgery or a fracture in that area.
