This study tests two new medications, vunakizumab and ivarmacitinib, for people with active Takayasu's arteritis (TAK) that is not fully controlled by standard treatments. The goal is to see if these drugs are safe and effective for reducing disease activity.

Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You must have Takayasu's arteritis that is newly diagnosed or has come back after treatment.
  • Your disease must be active despite using steroids and another immune-suppressing drug (not including JAK inhibitors or IL-17 inhibitors).
  • You must have at least two signs of active disease, such as symptoms, new findings on imaging, or elevated inflammation markers (ESR or CRP).
  • You cannot have severe organ damage from TAK that requires urgent surgery or procedures.
  • You cannot have active hepatitis B or C, active tuberculosis, a history of cancer in the last 5 years, poorly controlled diabetes, or a history of blood clots.
