Who can take part

  • You must have Takayasu arteritis based on specific classification clues or be suspected of it
  • You need imaging of your blood vessels (CT angiography or MR angiography) for the study
  • You may be eligible if your illness started at age 40 or younger and fits the typical pattern
  • You should not have other autoimmune diseases that can look similar (like lupus or ANCA vasculitis)
  • You should not have other large-vessel conditions due to infection or age-related giant cell arteritis
