  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You are scheduled for planned (not emergency) coronary artery bypass surgery.
  • You are of European (Caucasian) descent.
  • You do not have a serious infection, organ failure, or take high-dose steroids before surgery.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form.
