  • You are a woman who has gone through menopause and has nerve damage (polyneuropathy) that causes numbness.
  • You have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
  • You have had numbness in your arms and legs for more than 4 months.
  • You have not had a hysterectomy.
  • You do not have a history of tumors.
  • You are not taking antidepressant drugs.
