Bone glue for wrist fracture surgery

Who can take part

  • You have a broken wrist (distal radius) that is unstable or out of place, and your doctor plans to fix it with metal plates and screws.
  • Surgery must happen within 2 weeks of the injury.
  • You are over 21 years old and live independently (can walk before the injury).
  • No active infection, no recent fracture in the same bone, and no other major injuries to the same arm or hand (except a small break at the ulnar styloid, which is okay).
  • You are not currently on chemotherapy, certain biologic drugs (like Enbrel), or have had radiation to the area.
