  • Child is in the hospital after having surgery on the pediatric surgery floor
  • Child can talk and communicate with the nursing team
  • Parent or guardian has given permission and child agrees to join
  • Child does not have trouble thinking or learning that would stop them from filling out simple questionnaires
  • Child can hear well enough to take part in music activities if offered
