Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 90 years old
  • You are a patient at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), either in primary care or a heart (cardiology) clinic
  • You have had a standard 12-lead ECG (heart tracing) in the past 5 years
  • You have a smartphone or tablet to use with a small, handheld heart monitor
  • You have never been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter
  • You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted heart device
