- You must be in good overall health with no active or chronic diseases.
- Your body mass index (BMI) needs to be between 18.5 and 30 (Chinese) or 32 (Caucasian), and you must weigh at least 50 kg (men) or 45 kg (women).
- You cannot have tested positive for hepatitis B, C, HIV, or syphilis.
- You must not have used drugs or had alcohol dependency in the past 2 years, and you cannot smoke 5 or more cigarettes a day.
- You must not have donated blood or lost a significant amount of blood in the past 3 months.
- You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to conceive during the study and for 6 months after.
