- You have been diagnosed with femoroacetabular impingement (hip impingement) based on symptoms and imaging
- You have already seen a hip surgeon and your surgery is scheduled
- You are between 18 and 40 years old
- You have no history of rheumatic disease, hip dysplasia, or childhood hip problems
- You have not had any previous hip surgery
- You have not injured the leg muscles used in walking or moving in the last year
