Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have been a patient in the ICU for at least 48 hours.
  • You are admitted to Medicine, Surgery, or Neurology ICU at Al-Basrah Teaching Hospital or Al-Fayhaa General Hospital.
  • You or your legal guardian can provide consent to join the study.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not in end-of-life or palliative care where nutrition is no longer a goal.
