Who can take part

  • Your child is under 24 months old (up to 2 years).
  • Your child is in good health or has only mild health issues (ASA I or II).
  • Your child is scheduled for non-emergency surgery (not heart or emergency surgery) that needs a muscle relaxant called rocuronium.
  • Your child's surgery allows for safe monitoring of muscle response in the thumb.
  • Your child is not on certain medications like antibiotics or heart medicines that can interfere.
  • You and your child are covered by French social security and you can read and sign consent forms in French.
