Who can take part

  • You have all your permanent (adult) teeth
  • You have a Class I or Class II bite problem that needs both upper first premolars taken out
  • There will be at least 5 mm of space after the extractions
  • You do not have a cleft lip, cleft palate, or similar face deformity
  • You do not have a bone disease (like osteoporosis) or diabetes
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
