- You have suspected cancer in the liver, pancreas, or bile ducts.
- You are scheduled for a staging laparoscopy to look for cancer spread before a major surgery.
- Your CT scan was done with thin slices (1.5 mm or less) for clear images.
- You are not having this staging test only for diagnosis — it must be part of a plan for possible curative treatment.
- Your cancer type is adenocarcinoma (not another kind of cancer).
- Your final tissue diagnosis is not benign (non-cancerous).

This trial tests a minimally invasive surgery called laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy to remove certain cancers in the pancreas, bile duct, or nearby areas. It may help patients whose cancer has not spread and can be fully removed with surgery.
