Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 80 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 40.
  • Your waist measurement is more than 94 cm (men) or 88 cm (women).
  • Your blood sugar level (HbA1c) is between 6.0 and 7.5.
  • You have been taking the same dose of cholesterol and blood pressure medications for the last 3 months.
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the last 3 months, and do not have active cancer or serious digestive issues.
