Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for orthopedic surgery and will have spinal anesthesia.
  • You do not have an anxiety disorder, are able to see and hear normally, are fully awake, and can read Chinese.
  • You have a low to moderate health risk (Class I to III on the ASA physical status scale).
  • You have not had a head injury in the past, do not have a history of dizziness, and are not expected to need intensive care after surgery.
