Who can take part
- You must have cystic fibrosis confirmed by sweat test or genetic testing.
- You are under care at a participating UK Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre.
- You have had at least one severe lung flare-up treated with IV antibiotics in the last year, or you are already in the CF-Tracker study.
- You are able to cough up sputum (mucus from your lungs) at the first visit.
- You must be generally well (no new symptoms or infections) at the first visit and off any extra antibiotics for at least 4 weeks.
- You cannot have certain infections (like tuberculosis) or be on high-dose steroids or other immune-suppressing drugs.
