Who can take part

  • You have had atrial fibrillation (AF) confirmed by a heart rhythm test in the last 12 months.
  • Your doctor has recommended a heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) as part of your care.
  • Your CHA2DS2-VA score (a risk score for stroke) is 2 or higher.
  • You are at least 19 years old and can give written consent.
  • You have not had a heart ultrasound in the last 6 months.
  • Your heart rate during AF is not 110 or higher beats per minute.
