Laser vs. manual cleaning for gum disease

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have advanced gum disease (stage III-IV) with at least 4 teeth on each side of your mouth that have deep pockets (5mm or more)
  • You haven't had professional teeth cleaning or gum surgery in the past 6 months
  • You have at least 10 teeth on one side of your jaw
  • You are not a smoker
  • You don't have serious medical conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, active infections, or cancer treatments
