Who can take part

  • You are postmenopausal (no period for 12 months or confirmed by a blood test).
  • You have had certain breast conditions like DCIS, ADH, LCIS, or ALH within the past few years, or have a high risk score on a breast cancer risk calculator, or carry a CHEK2 or ATM gene variant, or received chest radiation before age 30.
  • You are able to swallow pills and are in generally good health (ECOG 0-1).
  • You have had a mammogram within the last 6 months and a bone density scan (DEXA) within the last year.
  • You have not used hormone replacement therapy in the last 3 months or antiestrogen drugs in the last year.
  • You do not have a history of blood clots, endometrial cancer, severe osteoporosis, or certain eye problems.
