Who can take part

  • You are 65 years or older.
  • You are having surgery in a neurosurgery department in France, Spain, or Portugal.
  • You have national health insurance or equivalent.
  • You are able to be contacted for a check-up 3 months after surgery.
  • You do not have a serious illness expected to shorten your life to less than 3 months.
  • You were independent before coming to the hospital (able to do daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and walking).
