- You are having surgery in a neurosurgery department in France, Spain, or Portugal.
- You have national health insurance or equivalent.
- You are able to be contacted for a check-up 3 months after surgery.
- You do not have a serious illness expected to shorten your life to less than 3 months.
- You were independent before coming to the hospital (able to do daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and walking).
