Comparing two ways to treat lower kidney stones

Who can take part

  • You have a kidney stone in the lower part of your kidney.
  • Your stone is 1.5 cm (about half an inch) or smaller.
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have any unusual kidney anatomy (like a horseshoe kidney or narrow drainage).
