  • You are between 19 and 79 years old
  • You are scheduled for surgery with general anesthesia
  • You are otherwise healthy or have mild health issues (classified as ASA I or II)
  • You are not taking medications that affect your nervous system, like certain heart, anxiety, or pain medicines
  • You have no history of seizure, depression, dementia, stroke, diabetes, arrhythmia, or substance abuse
  • You have no known allergies to sevoflurane or desflurane
