Adjuvant vaccine plus immunotherapy for high-risk early lung cancer
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial tests whether giving a personalized cancer vaccine (Intismeran) with or without an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) after lung cancer surgery can help prevent the cancer from coming back in patients with early-stage, high-risk non-small cell lung cancer.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- Diagnosed with Stage I non-small cell lung cancer (tumor ≤4 cm) with high-risk features like tumor size >2 cm, invasive growth, or aggressive appearance
- Had complete surgical removal of the lung cancer with no other prior cancer treatment (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, or targeted therapy)
- Able to provide a tissue sample from your recent surgery and a blood sample
- If HIV-positive, must have well-controlled HIV on antiretroviral therapy; if hepatitis B or C positive, must have received appropriate antiviral treatment with undetectable viral levels
- No significant heart disease in the past year, no active autoimmune conditions requiring recent treatment, and no history of lung inflammation requiring steroids
- Fully recovered from surgery with no ongoing surgical complications

This study tests a new personalized cancer vaccine (V940) plus Keytruda versus a placebo plus Keytruda for people with non-small cell lung cancer that was removed by surgery. The goal is to see if the vaccine helps prevent the cancer from coming back.
This trial tests a combination of an immunotherapy drug (sintilimab) plus chemotherapy to shrink inoperable stage IIIC lung cancer. The goal is to make the cancer small enough to remove with surgery and improve survival.
This trial is for people with non-small cell lung cancer who have already had immunotherapy and chemotherapy before surgery, followed by complete removal of the tumor. It tests whether continuing immunotherapy after surgery (adjuvant treatment) can lower the risk of cancer coming back compared to just watching and waiting.
This trial tests two medicines given before lung cancer surgery: benmelstobart (an immunotherapy that helps your immune system fight cancer) and anlotinib (a targeted therapy that stops blood vessel growth to tumors). The goal is to see if they make the cancer disappear completely by the time of surgery.
This trial studies whether adding immune treatment and chemotherapy around the time of lung tumor removal improves outcomes for people with operable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). You may qualify if your cancer can be surgically removed and your tumor tests meet required biomarker rules.
This trial tests whether giving a combination of two targeted drugs (tislelizumab and anlotinib) plus standard chemotherapy before and after surgery can help people with early-stage lung cancer. The goal is to see if this approach can shrink the tumor and lower the chance of the cancer coming back.
