Nerve Stretching for Muscle Strength in Older Adults

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years old or older
  • You have sarcopenia (age-related loss of muscle mass and strength), diagnosed by a doctor
  • Your thinking and memory are normal to mildly affected (score of 24–30 on a cognitive test)
  • You do not have neurological disorders like Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or stroke
  • You can safely move your ankle and participate in stretching exercises without severe pain or restriction
  • You are not currently receiving other physical therapy treatments
