Who can take part
- You have acute respiratory failure (serious difficulty breathing that developed suddenly)
- You have a hip fracture
- Your injury severity score is 8 points or lower (measures overall injury burden)
- You do not have unstable rib fractures or chest/abdominal bleeding
- You are not in shock, terminal condition, or experiencing a stroke or brain swelling
- You do not have severe bleeding disorders or blood clots that could be dangerous with chest vibration
