Who can take part
- You have diabetes (type 1 or type 2)
- If you have nerve pain: persistent pain or tingling in both lower legs/feet, plus at least one clinical sign of nerve damage (weak ankle reflex, reduced feeling to vibration, or abnormal nerve test)
- Age 18–80 years old
- Can do daily activities on your own and follow study procedures
- No severe heart, brain, liver, or kidney disease, and no severe mental illness
- No other cause of nerve damage (such as thyroid disease, heavy alcohol use, or genetic conditions)
