Local Radiation Therapy for Bladder Cancer Not Suitable for Surgery

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with muscle-invasive urothelial bladder cancer (a common type of bladder cancer that has grown into the muscle layer)
  • Your medical team has determined you are not a good candidate for curative treatment (surgery to remove the bladder), or you have chosen not to have this surgery
  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have not had previous radiation therapy to the pelvis (lower abdomen), or any previous radiation does not significantly overlap with the treatment area
  • You do not have cancer that has spread to distant organs (liver, lungs, bones) or multiple enlarged lymph nodes
  • You are not currently scheduled to receive chemotherapy at the time you would start this trial
