Who can take part

  • You are pregnant and between 32 and 35 weeks along
  • Your baby is expected or planned to be born within the next 24 hours
  • You are carrying one baby (not twins or multiples)
  • You have not already received magnesium sulphate in this pregnancy for high blood pressure or preeclampsia
  • You are able to understand and agree to participate in the study
