Hypnosis and Education to Help First-Time Mothers Breastfeed

This study tests whether a combination of hypnosis (guided relaxation) and breastfeeding education helps first-time mothers breastfeed more successfully and feel better after childbirth. You would receive this special education within the first 3 days after having your baby.

Who can take part

  • This is your first baby (first-time mother)
  • You are between 18 and 40 years old
  • You are within the first 72 hours after giving birth
  • You had a single baby (not twins or multiples)
  • You are able to room-in with your newborn (stay in the same room)
  • You speak and understand Turkish
  • You have no serious health conditions that prevent breastfeeding
