Who can take part

  • You must be diagnosed with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis (a widespread form affecting the skin) discovered within the last 5 years
  • You must have already tried at least two standard treatments (like corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or biologic drugs)
  • Your skin thickness score must be moderate—not too mild and not too severe—as measured by doctors
  • Your lung function must be reasonably preserved (at least 50% of normal lung capacity)
  • You cannot have severe heart or kidney problems, or serious infections like HIV, hepatitis B or C
  • You must be 18 to 65 years old and willing to use birth control for 6 months after treatment
