Who can take part

  • You have a spinal cord injury (complete or incomplete) that occurred at least 6 months ago
  • You are at least 18 years old and able to provide informed consent
  • You can attend 9 visits to the research center (1–3 hours each) for training and assessments
  • You do not have severe heart problems, uncontrolled blood pressure, or other serious medical conditions that your doctor thinks would be unsafe
  • You have no open skin sores, pressure ulcers, or wounds where the exoskeleton would contact your body
  • You are able to operate a handheld controller (joystick) with your hands to control the device
