Who can take part
- Age 18 or older
- Generally healthy or have mild-to-moderate medical conditions (ASA Class I–III)
- Scheduled for elective robotic surgery (planned, not emergency)
- No chronic lung disease such as COPD or restrictive lung disease
- No heart failure diagnosis
- Do not require oxygen before surgery or mechanical ventilation after surgery
