Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 years
  • Diagnosed with scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome, inflammatory muscle disease, or undifferentiated connective tissue disease
  • Specific blood markers (autoantibodies) that indicate higher lung fibrosis risk
  • CT scan showing lung changes in the past 6 weeks, or a clear scan if you don't have lung involvement yet
  • Not on high-dose steroids (more than 10 mg prednisone daily) and stable on other immune medications for 3 months, or not yet on any immune medications
  • No rituximab treatment in the past 24 weeks and adequate veins for blood draws
