A radioactive treatment for advanced prostate cancer

Prostate Cancer

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This early-stage trial tests a new radioactive drug (177Lu-FC516) designed to target and treat prostate cancer that has spread and is no longer responding to standard treatments. The goal is to evaluate whether it is safe and effective.

Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (cancer that has spread and stopped responding to hormone therapy)
  • You have at least one tumor spot that can be measured on imaging
  • You are generally healthy enough for treatment (ECOG score 0–1, meaning you can do most normal activities)
  • Your blood counts and liver and kidney function are adequate (specific lab thresholds)
  • You have not received cancer treatment, surgery, or other experimental drugs in the past 4 weeks

Lutetium-177 Treatment for Advanced Prostate Cancer

This trial tests a radioactive medication (177Lu-P17-088) designed to target and treat prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and stopped responding to hormone therapy. The medication is guided to cancer cells using a special imaging scan, potentially offering a new treatment option for men who have already tried other standard therapies.

Study of a radioligand therapy for advanced prostate cancer

This trial tests a new drug (177Lu-PSMA-137) that targets prostate cancer cells with a special molecule to deliver radiation directly to them. It is for men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer whose cancer has progressed after standard treatments like hormone therapy and chemotherapy.

NCT07795268Not yet recruiting· Phase 3
Targeted radiation therapy for advanced prostate cancer

This trial tests a new type of targeted radiation therapy (177Lu-NYM032) for men with advanced prostate cancer that has stopped responding to hormone therapy and chemotherapy. The radiation is designed to seek out prostate cancer cells that show a specific marker (PSMA) and may help slow the disease.

NCT07381582Not yet recruiting· Early Phase 1
Radioactive drug for advanced prostate cancer

This trial tests an experimental radioactive drug that targets a protein called PSMA found on prostate cancer cells. It aims to see if this drug is safe and can shrink tumors in men with advanced prostate cancer that has not responded to hormone therapy or chemotherapy.

NCT04886986Recruiting· Phase 1
Testing a targeted radiation pill for advanced prostate cancer

This Phase 1 trial tests a small-molecule treatment that carries radioactive material to help treat prostate cancer that has spread and keeps growing despite standard hormone-blocking treatment. It’s mainly looking to find a safe dose and see how well the approach works in people with limited treatment options.
