Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older with a life expectancy of at least 6 months
  • Confirmed diagnosis of primary myelofibrosis or myelofibrosis that developed after polycythemia vera or essential thrombocythemia
  • Disease classified as intermediate or high risk on a standard scoring system
  • Adequate kidney and liver function; blood cell counts within acceptable ranges
  • Willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after; females cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
  • No prior stem-cell transplant, or autologous transplant must be at least 3 months prior
