  • Your child has Down syndrome
  • Your child is between ages 1–6 years old (average age 3–4)
  • Your child has pneumonia (lung infection with inflammation) for the first time
  • Your child does not have other lung or chest diseases
  • Your child is available for the treatment and follow-up visits
