Who can take part
- You or your child are between 2 and 70 years old
- You need surgery inside your throat, nose, or skull base that requires soft-palate support during the procedure
- Your soft palate tissue is healthy with no ulcers, scars, or sores before surgery
- You do not have a cleft palate (a split in the roof of the mouth, present from birth)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have no active infections and can safely undergo surgery based on heart, lung, and kidney function
